This Trick Gets You Out of a Breakup Funk
You’re busy trying not to think about you ex, balancing your whirlwind of emotions, and looking away at the couple making out on the bus on your way to work.
Everything reminds you of them…and you’re sick of it.
I’ve been there. It’s exhausting and confrontational. You just want it to…stop.
As a breakup coach, I support my clients who are recently out of relationships by showing them how to see beyond the painful emotions and circumstances.
Today, I’m sharing the simplest technique to help you not just move on from your last relationship, but also help you manifest the right relationship into your life.
What I love about the breakup process (I know, I just said ‘love’ during such a brutal time) is that you get to use it as a clean slate to focus on what you do want in your life.
This is what I did after my breakup in 2016, and today I’m writing it so that it can help you in your own life. I only share things that have deeply resonated with me, as you’ll really get the sentiment behind it on a vibrational level.
So here’s the trick:
Instead of getting annoyed or disturbed by that really PDA (public display of affection) couple holding hands and making googly eyes at each other—be happy for them.
Not disturbed. Not grossed out. But happy.
Why?
Because when you can see that they’re just happily in love, you actually invite that energy into your life.
When you turn away from seeing love, you close yourself off from receiving it.
Simple, right?
Another way this little technique is powerful:
In addition, you’ve got to see this as a sign that real and true love is on its way to you. It’s called “Driftwood” in the law of attraction. When you see or hear something, it’s a message that it’s on its way to you.
If you see someone talking about their feature in Forbes Magazine, it’s coming to you.
If you see someone getting a promotion, it’s coming to you, too.
If you see loving couples being all flirty and in love—yes, it’s absolutely on its way to you.
I know, it sounds almost delusional…but it works.
But you need to welcome the emotion in, not shut it down.
Be happy for the in-love couples you see out and about. Say, “real love is coming for me,” and watch just how much more love you invite in during such a difficult time.
